005. What was the reason for the account opening application being put on hold?

The account opening application may be put on hold for various reasons. The reasons for rejection and the necessary documents to resolve them are provided in an email and listed in the table below:

PAN Details

Rejection Reason:

  • PAN copy does not have a signature:
    Sign in the "Applicant signature" box on the PAN card, self-attest the copy, and upload it Refer to the "Prerequisites before uploading PAN" for more details.
  • PAN has a thumb impression instead of a signature:
    Provide an alternative government ID with a signature or create a ticket with the banker’s letter (PDF).

Income Proof Details

Rejection Reason:

  • Income proof insufficient for F&O activation:
    To enable F&O.

  • Correspondence address on KYC does not match address proof:
  • Online: Submit a clear, self-attested soft copy of the address proof matching the KYC details by creating a ticket.
  • Offline: Courier the hard copy of the KYC (PDF) along with the self-attested matching address proof.
  • Permanent address on KYC does not match address proof:
  • Online: Submit a clear self-attested soft copy of the address proof matching the KYC details by creating a ticket.
  • Offline: Courier the hard copy of the KYC (PDF) along with a self-attested matching address proof.
  • Address overwritten on forms:
    Courier the correctly filled KYC (PDF).

Nominee Details

Rejection Reason:

  • Nominee relationship not provided:
    Provide the relationship between the nominee and the applicant by creating a ticket.
  • Minor added as a nominee:
    Provide the guardian's details, their relationship with the nominee, and the nominee's date of birth by creating a ticket.
  • Multiple nominees without percentage share provided:
    Provide the percentage share for each nominee by creating a ticket.
