The Investor Protection Fund Trust (IPFT) was established by the NSE to compensate investors when the assets of defaulters are insufficient to cover their claims. The fund also aims to support investor education, awareness, and research.
IPFT charges are applied to all trades executed on the NSE. These charges are separately levied but are included under exchange transaction charges in the contract note. The IPFT charges are as follows:
