17. Why are DP charges not included in the contract note?

The contract note includes all trading-related charges incurred on the stock exchanges. However, DP charges apply when shares are sold from the demat account. Since DP charges are separate from the trading charges on the contract note, they are reflected in the funds statement rather than the contract note.
