11. Why did CDSL send an email regarding the revised process for submitting off-market transfers?

CDSL sent this email to inform clients about a change in the process for off-market transfers, effective December 30, 2023. As per CDSL's circular (WEB), off-market transactions can only be completed if the buyer's (receiver's) demat account is added as a beneficiary to the seller's (sender's) demat account. This update is being implemented to prevent incorrect securities transfers.
