As per the NSE (PDF) and BSE (WEB) circulars, if there has been no trading activity for 12 consecutive months, the exchanges classify the account as inactive. As part of additional due diligence, Zerodha marks such accounts for re-KYC. The account can be reactivated by verifying the updated KYC details.
